ABSTRACT
Traditionally, in the pharmaceutical industry the word‘Quality’ is usually referred to‘conformance to specification’; that is toinspection and servicing of products. Due to overriding concern forquality from all manufacturing industries, the definition of qualityhas been expanded to the service extended to customer to obtaincustomer satisfaction. ‘Total Quality’ represents a competitive strategy.In other words, ‘Quality’ in terms of‘Total Quality’ is everything an organization doesin the eyes of its customers, which will determine whether they buyfrom this company or from its competitor. ‘TotalQuality’ provides an umbrella under which everyone in theorganization can strive and create customer satisfaction.
