ABSTRACT
This paper explores assessment in the workplace with a specific focus on using a competency-based approach. A normative process model for developing a competency-based assessment battery is also presented. The model is derived from practical experience and research in the development of competency-based assessment batteries and is rooted in a person-based approach. Opsomming Hierdie navorsing verken evaluering in die werkplek met spesieke verwysing na die gebruik van ’n bevoegdheids-gebaseerde benadering. ’n Model, wat ’n bepaalde proses vir die ontwikkeling van ’n bevoegdheidsgebaseerde evalueringsbattery voorstaan, word ook aangebied. Diemodel is afgelei uit praktiese ervaring en navorsing in die ontwikkeling van bevoegdheids-gebaseerde evalueringsbatterye en is gebaseer op ’n persoonsgeorienteerde benadering.
