ABSTRACT
The attempts to expand the definition of politics is one of the main contributions of Italian autonomism to contemporary political philosophy. Along this line, the concept of “biopolitical production” is an important improvement, as it allows the redefinition of political practices beyond the State itself. However, recent proposals of Hardt and Negri define such practices in clear opposition to State, in a sort of negative essentialism that can only reduce the transformative possibilities of new conceptual tools required by current biopolitical context.////Los intentos por ampliar el espacio de lo político es una de las principales características del autonomismo italiano como corriente de la filosofía política contemporánea. En esta línea, el concepto de “producción biopolítica” resulta un importante aporte, en tanto permite la redefinición de las prácticas políticas más allá de lo propiamente estatal. Sin embargo, los últimos planteos de Hardt y Negri definen dichas prácticas por oposición a lo estatal (y no ya con “independencia a”), en una suerte de esencialismo negativo que sólo puede reducir las posibilidades transformadoras de las nuevas herramientas conceptuales que requiere el actual contexto biopolítico.
