The state and problems of protection of information products as author's right subject-matter in the Internet as well as imperfect legislation concerning the intellectual property infringement in the Internet are considered in the article. Some promising directions for overcoming infringement of copyright in cyberspace are outlined. The present situation is such that only formal laws exist. But their use is extremely difficult, because information transfer or copy in the network is much easier to use than to apply the traditional laws through the Internet technological basis. Being one of the least comprehensible objects of modern information world, the problem of protection of intellectual property is one of the priority research areas. The purpose of this article is to explore the state and problems of protection of such copyright in the field of intellectual property, as information products (literary works, musical works, audiovisual works, computer programs, artwork, photographs) in the Internet and to detect the main causes of the violations. To determine the guidelines for the protection of information products as objects of copyright in the Internet is the main task of this paper.
