ABSTRACT
From the Soviet Union, Ukraine inherited a highly developed industrial complex, which includes all stages of the production – from the extraction of raw materials to the production of commercial products. However, technological and technical potential of an enterprise today has a high degree of depreciation, both physical and moral. In turn, it leads to a decrease in the efficient use of the fixed assets and energy, increased production costs and thus reduced competitiveness. All these factors in general or individually, have a negative impact on the development of enterprises, product quality and the level of demand.In order to assess the state of technological and technical potential of an enterprise it is proposed to use the technical and technological security. It is defined as the efficiency of the company while ensuring the competitiveness of advanced technology and general assets of a company. The formation of indicators to assess the technical and technological safety should be done in the context of modernization safety. Modernization safety is a part of the technical and technological security, and is determined by examining the process of updating the fixed assets, industry-wide trends. The indicator of the modernization safety is calculated as the ratio of the input cost of fixed assets to the value of fixed assets at the end of the period. The level of modernization safety is assessed by the additional volume of production, which will provide updates on the coefficient at the level of its industry average values. The more the additional production volume is, the lower is the level of modernization safety of the enterprise. Consequently, the proposed method of modernization safety evaluation as a part of technical and technological security will determine the security of an enterprise from technological threats.
