This article explores some of the concerns and values that are part of the discussion about processes of flexible cohabitation in training in museology producing more nuanced theories, more reflective practices, and possibly less illusory museums. It also introduces a discussion on the very nature of knowledge in museology. Knowledge is theorized as a quasi- object, a hybrid between subject, human and nonhuman, challenging the separation between subject and object, between nature and society, between theory and practice. Museology is presented here as a quasi-object of research / training as a space for questioning not delimiter but which increasingly adopts border contours, impermanent and belonging to what has been denominated Mode 2/3 of knowledge production.
