ABSTRACT
The article summarizes the scientific works and publications of contemporary Russian, Ukrainian and Western researchers who studied different aspects of social capital and their points to the concept. Based on the scientific literature, the author identified and analysed two historical stages of the social capital concept’s origins and development.
