ABSTRACT
Oil and Gas industry in general and geological explorationprocess particularly is characterized by a number of specificpeculiarities, which differ it from other sectors of economy. We focused on search and identification of geological risksassociated with oil drilling. During regional level riskevaluation a significant role was played by the fact that basedon results of special processing of seismic materialsabnormalities were discovered and these abnormalitiespropose the presence of hydrocarbon deposit (deposits) inthe trap. Eventually, success ratio exceeded the thresholdlimit value more than 20 folds, i.e. the risk of deposit absencewas not high. Subsequent exploration of the deposit will showindustrial significance of identified deposits. It is possible thatduring drilling of exploration wells in Jurassic section otherdeposits are possible to be discovered as it occurred in Surgildeposit located in the adjacent tectonic zone (Sudochiydepression).
