ABSTRACT
This paper examines the management of natural resources in a propriety in the rural community Caná, located in the municipal district of Carlinda, north part of Mato Grosso state. In face of management of natural resources presented the forms of appropriation and use of them by peasant, observing the problems find to maintain his propriety, considering the social, economic, environment and cultural aspects. The existence of pressure to change agriculture - cattle rising is great. The method used to gather data was field research, focused on the understanding of the day-to-day dimension of the social reality of the rural propriety. The paper concludes that measures should be taken to reduce the men impacts in the environment.
