ABSTRACT
This article seeks to show the main reasons that move Habermas to assignto Hegel the position of inaugurator of philosophical discourse of modernity. Analysing two separate objections to his argument, which claim that position for Kant, it seeks to argue that, for Habermas, an appropriate concept of modernity has to be also a critique of modernity.
