Previous studies indicated a significantcorrelation between body fat mass and plasma hs-CRPlevels. In this study, we investigate the relationship betweenplasma hs-CRP levels and cardiovascular riskfactors and metabolic syndrome parameters in Turkishobese female patients.Materials and methods: A total of 1007 overweight andobese women were examined retrospectively. Of these, 127overweight (BMI = 25-30 kg/m2) and 880 obese (BMI 30 kg/m2) patients were evaluated in Istanbul University,Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of InternalMedicine, Obesity Outpatient Clinic. Anthropometric andbiochemical parameters were measured. Patients were dividedin 3 categories according to their plasma hsCRP levels, and parameters were analyzed using one-wayANOVA. p
