ABSTRACT
Importance: Treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma remainsa topical issue of Clinical Oncology. More than 80% of caseshepatocellular carcinoma develops in the presence of livercirrhosis. These patients are doomed, many clinics they heldonly symptomatic treatment and life expectancy of patientsis not more than 6 months. The main reason for the refusalof surgeons and Chemotherapeutists of treatment isassociated cirrhosis.Purpose: To improve results of surgical treatment of livercancer developed on cirrhosisMaterials and methods: We analyzed the immediate resultsof treatment of 12 patients with hepatocellular carcinomadeveloped on a background of liver cirrhosis. From thelarge size of the tumor and associated liver cirrhosis, thesepatients the first stage of oil produced by hepatic arterychemoembolization of the affected lobe of the liver tumor. After 2-3 weeks performed liver resection. Results: After analyzing the results, we concluded:chemoembolization reduces tumor volume and weight, increases the physiological regeneration of hepatocytesunaffected tumor fraction, improves functional performanceof the liver and does not affect the frequency and severityof postoperative complications.
