ABSTRACT
The article deals with the topical issues of trade wars between countries in international economy. The dominance of the free trade paradigm is constantly faced with the disguised protectionism in international trade. The result of such a policy is a significant amount of trade wars between countries. Based on the analysis of trade wars in the international economy participants of trade wars were defined and their interests were substantiated.The research of trade wars revealed that apart from trade barriers disguised protectionism tools such as phytosanitary, veterinary, technical, administrative and other barriers are spreading.The disguised protectionism that is used in trade wars was analyzed. The interests of the participants of trade wars in the international economy were defined, allowing to enhance the theoretical development in the field of trade policy and to determine motives of the countries participating in trade wars, as well as to develop appropriate tools aimed at preventing the trade wars and their impact on international trade.The research of trade wars interests in the international economy can deepen the understanding of the trade wars nature and improve tools of their research, and also forms the basis for the development of trade wars tools management.
