ABSTRACT
An Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) study of the paramagnetic centers formed by irradiation of polycrystalline polyacrylamide hydrolyzed to different extents was made. In the EPR spectra of the gamma irradiated samples, at room temperature, the presence of three types of paramagnetic centers was observed. The kinetics of the recombination of radicals during thermal annealing has been studied. An adequate decay mechanism is proposed.
