ABSTRACT
L’exercice de la police madrilène laisse apparaître une concurrence des codes et des représentations symboliques de la justice. Celle-ci se manifeste dans une discipline des apparences voulue par le roi, le conseil de Castille et les alcades de cour et dans la publicité des corps. Mais les différentes modalités de distribution des signes judiciaires sont analysées autant du point de vue des résultats obtenus dans la territorialisation judiciaire du tissu urbain, que de celui des résistances de certaines institutions de la société (l’aristocratie, les ambassades, les corps privilégiés, le peuple madrilène).The way the Madrid police worked reveals competing codes and symbols in justice. It appeared in the strict appearances imposed by the King, the Council of Castile and the court Alcades, as well as in the image they all had. But the different organisations of these judicial signs are analysed from two points of view: the results obtained in the judicial territory of the urban infrastructure and the oppositions from certain institutions in the society itself, such as the aristocracy, the embassies, the elites and the people of Madrid.
