ABSTRACT
Surgical treatment of proximal humeral fractures with diaphysis extension continues to be a challenge especially in osteoporotic patients. Anatomic locking plates have been used with satisfactory results. The aim of this study was to describe the technical tips and to investigate the functional results of minimal invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPPO) in proximal humerus fractures with diaphysis extension in elderly patients.
