ABSTRACT
The key aspects of the Zhytomyr region extractive industry enterprises adaptation to the external environment conditions are examined in the article. The main approaches of foreign and domestic scientists to the adaptation nature definition are analyzed. It is proved, that adaptation as a system process of organization adjustment to the dynamic conditions of external environment serves as a basis for enterprise’s long-term functioning stability and balanced development securement. On the basis of multidimensional extractive industry enterprises survey the main development problems are defined and the system of measures, which are aimed at the adaptation to the conditions of external environment, is formed. The system conception of extractive industry enterprises adaptation to the external environment is developed on the basis of matrix approach, which combines the major identified in the analysis process problems and levels of extractive industry enterprises management
