Pharmacotherapy follow-up is a professional practice born after the awareness of the important morbidity and mortality associated to pharmacotherapy. Pharmacist is the most appropriate professional due to its training, accessibility and drug information. Objectives: To assess the knowledge of pharmacists about pharmacotherapy follow-up and their possibilities to implement it. And also to analyze the vision of pharmacists about physician-pharmacist relationship, focusing on competences, cooperation and integration. Methods: We prepared and distributed an anonymous questionnaire for pharmacists, consisting in 11 questions. Results: Survey was responded by 54 pharmacists from Caceres and Toledo. 85% were women and an average age of 36 years. 82% were community pharmacists. 78% previously knew pharmacotherapy follow-up, but only 22% provides this service. 85% thinks that this practice should be widely implemented, and 100% think that physician and pharmacists should cooperate. 56% states that physicians do not like to receive cooperation from the pharmacist. Concussion: Pharmacists know what pharmacotherapy follow-up is, but few of them practice it. They feel that should cooperate with physicians, but they think that physicians will not accept this cooperation.
