ABSTRACT
This work, carried out in two studies, was designed to evaluate the influence of the lemma adopted and vocations its inherent activities performed by the Grand Lodges, through comparative analyzes of contents of two separate masonic groups, representatives of the lemmas “Brotherhood, Relief and Truth” and “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity”. While the first study examined the public adoption of one or another lemma, the second tried to analyze the publicity given to activities related to the values contained in its lemmas, so to monitor adherence to the motto adopted and consistency of the information disclosed. The results of two studies contributed to a better understanding of the Brazilian masonic scenario, especially with regard to the social field.
