In the final article in this series the authors discuss the differences between the procedures involved in the classical implantology and the implant treatment with the use of planning software systems based on the computed tomography analysis and focus on the stage of the surgery carried out using a template made in stereolithographic technique. In conclusion they present a summary of possible causes of failure associated with the new methodology of treatment and suggest solutions to avoid possible complications at each stage, frequently resulting from earlier mistakes and oversights. Moreover, in order to avoid errors in clinical management of implant treatment planning software based on CT examination, the authors present an algorithm for diagnosis and treatment covering all stages of preparing a stereolithographic surgical template.
