ABSTRACT
Elementary school libraries provide an environment that facilitatesreading and learning for students and teachers. For library managers,it is important to study library space usages from users’ perspectivesin order to understand their behaviors and experiences. Adopting thepost occupancy evaluation approach, this study analyzed the activities,perceptions, and feelings of the users of a selected elementary schoollibrary and identified the library’s roles and functions within that school.Observation, interview, and user illustration of the library’s interiorwere used for the data collection. Findings of this study provide insightsinto the space planning and utilization of elementary school libraries.
