The aim of this study was to evaluate different procedures for extraction of photosynthetic pigments in leaves of fruit species. The study was conducted at the University of West of Santa Catarina - Unoesc city of Sao José do Cedro. Were collected fully expanded leaves the face exposed to the sun of seedlings of persimmon (Diospyros kaki), fig (Ficus carica) and peach (Prunus persica) orchard cultured in the course of Agronomy. With these, we obtained leaf discs of 1 cm in diameter to make the extraction of leaf pigments, for both, two tests were performed. At first we evaluated the extraction with 80 % alcohol solution at different times under heating in a water bath at 60 and 65 °C. In the second, extraction was performed with solutions of alcohol and acetone to 80 % after 24 and 48 hours of incubation in the refrigerator. In both trials the determination of the pigments chlorophyll a, b, and total carotenoids was performed by measuring the absorbance of the extracts from different extraction procedures, by the spectrophotometric method.
