In aged people, the higher prevalence of chronic illnesses and the high drug consumption enhance de incidence of drug-related problems. Pharmaceutical care appeared as a patient focused practice, and satisfaction reflects pharmacist involvement during clinical and humanistic elderly care. This study had as objectives to draw socio-demographic profile of a group of aged to implement pharmaceutical care; to analyze the outcomes of pharmacist’s interventions; and to assess satisfaction of aged patients with pharmacist-researcher and with the program. It showed that pharmacist’s interventions optimized the use of drugs, reduced symptoms caused by pharmacotherapy, and improved patient health status. In the study, al domains of satisfaction with pharmacist-researcher and with the program presented a high score. Results were better than found in literature for similar interventions. Concluding, humanized educational interventions were relevant tools to construct therapeutic relations, based on confidence and co-responsibility, influencing actual care on obtaining positive outcomes and aged patient satisfaction.
