ABSTRACT
The relationship between the steady-state approximation (SSA) and potential energy surface (PES) topologies hasbeen investigated. It was shown that one may deduce, with confidence, whole reaction rate constants for differentreaction types; a powerful means to evaluate rate constants for complex systems.
