ABSTRACT
The primary objective of the document review and historical recuentro about teaching and learning and how it has evolved representative theories of learning and its scope for education, is of fundamental importance to interpret situations, events, phenomena and individual behavior and present social and even to make predictions about their future. At the same time, sharpens our intelligence to make judgments and decisions. Hence our interest in digging a bit in the complex area of learning, philosophical and psychological theories dealing with this issue, and the study of educational models and teaching strategies from them has been derived. It is concluded that theories of learning, a product of scientific activity of teachers, psychologists and philosophers who study teaching, attending to distinguish various contributions that have enriched their theoretical meaning and applicability. In addition, amending some of the most confusing aspects relating to its use, highlighting razonándolas and dominating the field of education during this period, representing a reference still great potential explanatory and effect that accounts of cognitive development generated in the classroom.
