ABSTRACT
UPLC can be regarded as a new direction for liquid Chromatography. This new category of analytical separation science retains the practicality and principles of HPLC while increasing the overall interrelated attributes of speed, sensitivity and resolution. This system uses fine particles (less than 2.5μm), so decreases the length of the column, saves time and reduces solvent consumption. A typical assay transferred and optimized for UPLC System to achieve both higher sample throughput and better assay sensitivity. UPLC has advantage over conventional HPLC system of having low operation cost and high pressure capacity. Ability of UPLC when coupled with MS to get good quality data due to its fast scanning technology makes UPLC a better option of choice for development of fast LC methods in Pharmaceutical development in near future.
